The beers – Deviant Dales, G’knight and Dale’s Pale Ale – are accompanied by three plates:  Peppercorn-crusted Black Angus burger with roasted garlic brioche roll, housemade ketchup and lemon-garlic cured pickles; crispy fried veal “steak” on rosemary flatbread with caramelized fontina cheese and rare tuna satay with chili garlic hoisin BBQ glaze.

Rizzuto’s Shares Recipe!

We have recieved many emails and about our recipe for Proscuitto Wrapped Shrimp and Brussel Sprout Salad, so we at Rizzuto’s would like to share with you!  We would love to hear your feedback, so let us know how you liked it!!!

Proscuitto Wrapped Shrimp and Brussel Sprout Salad Recipe

Brussel Sprout Salad

1 lb. Brussels sprouts shredded
2 oz. Dried cranberries.
2 oz. Toasted pistachios
3 oz. Apple cider
2 oz. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 oz. Lemon juice
Salt to taste

Mix all ingredients well.

Proscuitto Wrapped Shrimp:

8 oz. Apple cider
2 oz. Honey
Combine and reduce on medium heat until thickens to a syrup.

Pan sear in olive oil, 8 shrimp wrapped in prosciutto. Once shrimp are turned over add 1 tsp butter to the pan, fresh sage leaves and 1 tsp of cider reduction. Serve immediately over room temp Brussels sprout salad. Enjoy

We had fun cooking for the Williams-Sonoma shoppers at Westfarms Mall yesterday.

Bill Rizzuto and his head Chef Anthony Camilleri of Rizzuto’s prepared a Prosciutto-Wrapped Shrimp and Brussel Sprout Salad for the shoppers, and it seems everyone loved it! Rizzuto’s Stamford will be participating in “Paint the Town Pink”

This October 29th Rizzuto’s Restaurant and Bar in Stamford CT will be on hand to support “Paint the Town Pink” giving 10% of the day’s proceed to Stamford Hospital’s Breast Cancer Program. Rizzuto’s Restaurant and Bar support many local charity events in Connecticut and Mr. Rizzuto is a believer in giving back to the community to help people benefit from the many charitable organizations in Connecticut.

What is Paint the Town Pink?

In 2005, building on the success of its cancer education effort, Stamford Hospital significantly expanded its breast cancer awareness message by creating Paint the Town Pink, a campaign that takes place every October to celebrate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Paint the Town Pink stresses the importance of screening and early detection and spreads the word about the comprehensive breast care services available in the community.  The initiative, spearheaded by the Hospital’s Bennett Cancer Center staff, includes the development and maintenance of partnerships with area organizations, businesses and corporations, along with the coordination of a month-long calendar of events that take place in Stamford and beyond.
